Save Our Saplings!

Emergency watering parties 5.30pm every evening until it next rains…

Be ready with your watering containers and join us for 15 mins or so to look after Thame’s new hedges in this exceptionally dry run of spring weather. It’s early enough that you can still get out for your Saturday night and you won’t get mucky, maybe a bit wet…

Saturday – Skate Park

Sunday – Queen Elizabeth Circle (zip wire park) meet by the swings

Monday – Elms Park

Tuesday – Churchill Crescent

Wednesday- Lenthall Green meet by the crossing point where you exit for Langdale Road

If you can’t come just water your nearest new hedge or the QEC trees anytime in dry warm weather. If you can adopt a QEC tree or little hedge stretch (eg ten saplings) to water yourself send us a message with a picture of your chosen bit, we’ll make you a named wooden adoption tag.

500ml at least per tiny tree please and 2-10 litres on a big one please.

The Churchill Crescent and Lenthall trees are all adopted and don’t need watering.

If you live near any site and are happy for us to refill once at yours please let us know. It costs you about 40p worth of water in total for us to refill which gives us 100 litres of water so not too bad.
