Drop-in
tree planting
for all ages this Saturday 14th March in Elms Park. Come and find us about 10am at the Park Street end of the park (we’ll be wandering somewhere along the hedge!), if you’d like to help us plant some trees. It’s done pretty well considering the challenges of drought, dogs and ball games, but as these have left some gaps then we want to infill these to help it establish into a nice thick hedge.
You will need your own gloves (the thickest ones you have, if you don’t have classic gardening gloves), old clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting muddy. If you have a spade or trowel and live nearby please bring it along. We will have some spares so don’t worry if you can’t bring one.
If you plan to come a comment below as to how many are coming would be useful so we have an idea of whether people will be joining us but no problem if plans change or you decide on the day to drop in that’s fine. If you can’t come but would like to try some tree planting drop us a FB/IG message or email on [email protected] and keep an eye out for spam as messages come back from a different address. We won’t be organising specific children’s activities at this event but children are of course very welcome.
