At the end of November 2024, the Big tree giveaway, by the International Tree Foundation, took place and 21st Century Thame volunteers manned the Thame distribution hub at Racquets Fitness Centre.
Trees are brilliant for people, wildlife and our planet and we urgently need to plant more. Every winter, together with Community Action Groups Oxfordshire, we give away free trees for people to plant in their gardens.
Over the course of 2 days the distribution partners working with the International Tree Foundation gave out more than 3,000 trees for people to plant in their garden to help make Oxfordshire a little greener.
21st Century Thame added some extra silver birch and wild cherry to the giveaway.
