Wildflowers

Can you identify some wildflowers, or would you like to learn with some hands-on surveying?

You might have noticed that Thame Town Council have changed the mowing regime in areas, following on from work with Thame Green Living.

The aim is to boost plant and wildflower diversity in the verges, but it’s vital to know what impact this change is actually having over time.

Hazel Boundy will be leading the 4th annual survey of Thame’s verges.

Come along on 14th May from 0845 for a couple of hours (maximum finish time 1200, probably earlier).

The meeting point is the verge by Cromwell Avenue West/Tythrop Way junction.

No experience or equipment needed as you can be paired with another volunteer to learn.

A plant ID app of your choice will be helpful as will a high-vis jacket if you have one (plus plenty of suncream if the weather continues!)

Please note this is not a 21st Century Thame-run event, but drop us a message so we can connect you with Hazel.
