A full-body workout for all the brilliant volunteers from Box Technologies , @lightfoots_solicitors and SSE helping us with young hedge and tree care at Churchill Crescent and Lenthall Green today and Friday. Jess was determined to give the Wayfaring trees the tidy-up they deserve, Jamie blitzed right to the end of the Churchill hedge and Conor was in his element knee deep in nettles and tidying up our trees on Friday. Today Paul brought every gardening tool we could dream of and put them all to good use, and Christel and Charlotte cheerfully worked their way through enormous volumes of grass and weeds to find the missing hedge trees and make sure they have plenty of light.
Weekly Weed and Water is running once a week on various days, 9-12. If you have a business volunteering half-day to use, or want to volunteer in your own time, just drop us a message about joining in. We can promise some free cake, an adoring dog, and the satisfaction of giving our new trees and hedges the best start in life.
