We had a great session today, joining up with MyVision at the Thame social group for local people with visual impairment. We were looking at the special features of our native and naturalised trees, particularly focusing on aspects that could help identification by touch, such as the shape and placement of buds, and bark and bud texture.
How many can you identify? Hazard your guesses in the comments for the honour of being Thame’s top tree spotter!
If your school or social group would like a tailored educational session about trees, wildlife friendly gardens, hedgehogs or sustainability, just let us know. We are grateful to Lucy Electric for specifically funding our educational work.
Thank you to our business sponsors BP Collins, Lightfoots Solicitors and Lucy Electric, and SODC and TTC for support for our range of activities.
