Could you volunteer to plant and adopt a tree?

Do you live near Churchill Crescent Park? Could you volunteer to plant and adopt a tree? No cost to you – just a little of your time in the summer months to water your tree in dry weeks. We can match you up with other adopters if you like to spread out your visits.

We will aim to plant with our tree adopters at a community planting morning on 23rd Feb, but can plant your tree with you on another day if needed.

Please let us know on [email protected] or via FB messenger!

The plan for the park has been designed following two rounds of consultation with over 50 households of adjacent residents, Thame Town Council and specialist assessors. We hope you will enjoy the new landscaping. Please rest assured the plan has taken account of: keeping good night time visibility; leaving a very large recreational space in more than half of the park; avoiding a design likely to give rise to antisocial behaviour concerns, and planning for future maintenance needs. We appreciate not everyone will like the changes, but we do believe that most people using the community green space will enjoy the free fruit, shade, seasonal interest, and increased attractiveness to wildlife.

Thank you to our sponsors, supporters and funders this season: BP Collins Solicitors, Lightfoots Solicitors, Lucy Electric, Trust for Oxfordshire’s Environment, Thame Town Council, South Oxfordshire District Council, Woodland Trust, and John Morris for specialist tree advice.
