Productive morning out on tree care duties…
Daniel from Kubota has earned a few days off the gym after hand-carrying 400 litres of water for the Queen Elizabeth Circle Park trees before working his way along a large stretch of hedge.
The unstoppable Elaine Kidd worked on a struggling bit of new hedge at Lenthall Green.
Dymphna was tasked with rescuing the beautiful guelder rose shrubs from overcrowding vegetation.
Local resident Vicky spotted us out working and kindly gave up her lunch break to come and help!
And last but not least, thanks so much to lovely Roger R who again kindly provided water refills.
Want to help? Drop us a message if you’d like to do some emergency or regular watering, could trim a bit of competing vegetation back, live near a site and could provide access to a tap or hose for refills (don’t worry, normally about 120 litres every 5 days which costs about 50p!), or if you want to do a half day of business volunteering with us.
Thank you to Kubota for releasing Daniel for volunteering and as always to our sponsors Lightfoots, BP Collins, and Lucy Electric, and funding from SODC via Trust for Oxfordshire Environment and the Woodland Trust for our trees and to the family and friends of Graham Whelan for donations towards our QEC trees project.
