Help us count our wild gardens

21st Century Thame is working closely with Thame Wild Gardens and teams in Chinnor and Long Crendon to try to encourage residents to share their gardens with the local wildlife.

Last year we did alot of work to encourage residents to talk to their neighbours and make more access way for hedgehogs and other ground dwelling wildlife between gardens. We were pleased to sign up over 150 street champions who have been talking to their neighbours throughout Thame and other towns nearby to encourage changes for the better for our wildlife.

We would love to find out how much progress has been made and to encourage more to take up the challenge of making their gardens more wildlife friendly.

Please can we ask you to complete this online survey – it’s easy to answer the questions as they are all about your garden.

Tell us if you have hedgehog highways, ponds, late cut grass.

We won’t contact you again unless you indicate that you’re happy for us to send you your result.

We also ask if you would like one of our team to visit and give you more ideas for your garden. We can even help make hedgehog holes for you if you are interested.

We are please to be being supported this year by an SODC Councillor Grant.

If you would like to join the volunteer groups out and about getting more people involved in our environment please contact [email protected].
