Busy hedge care week

Busy hedge care week! Today we worked with three multi-talented Kubota Tractor Corporation volunteers and three of us from Thame Trees to weed and mulch the Skate Park hedges. This will allow the hedge growth to get ahead of the competition from grass and other plants and give it a head start as we enter its growth season. Special thanks to volunteer Ashley for using his hidden talents to fix the fence whilst we were there, Tracy for incredible vegetation-tidying skills, and to the wonderful @Emma Wiltshire for being a fantastic volunteer-finder at Kubota!

A big shout out to our tree care friends who kindly donated free woodchip to this project – Chesney who delivered in his own time on behalf of Complete Tree Services and Julian who delivered mulch from JB Tree Services despite struggles with his van.

On Friday our Thame Trees volunteers tidied up Langdale Road trees and hedge too.

Want to help us with a quick bit of young hedge care this Saturday at 330 in Thame? Could you adopt a section of hedge for summer watering this year? Drop us a message preferably by email to [email protected] for details.

Thank you as always to our sponsors BP Collins, Lucy Electric and Lightfoots Solicitors and TTC for your support.
