21st Century Thame are raising money towards our work

21st Century Thame are raising money towards our work to make Thame and it’s surroundings a wildlife rich town in the centre of one of the most nature depleted countries in the world.

Our work includes planting trees and hedges, helping residents make their garden more wildlife friendly, finding locations and helping install habitat boxes for birds such as swifts and swallows and owls, and for mammals like hedgehogs and bats.

We help educate the kids and adults of our locality on the importance of leaving space in our gardens and our communal spaces to allow food to grow for wildlife at the right time of year and in the right places.

We are supported by some wonderful businesses Lucy Electric, BP Collins Solicitors and Lightfoots Solicitors and by Thame Town Council but to keep the momentum as high as possible we are raising funds for all the mini projects like community habitat box building workshops, the Wild Things Trail through Thame (pick up a game map at Thame Town Council – a wonderful activity for the family in the summer holidays), attending the fetes and festivals and so much more.

So, you can help by adding these recycled habitats to your gardens.

If you would like to donate to our fundraising by buying a bug hotel or a hedgehog house – all made of recycled materials, please contact [email protected].

We offer a free garden assessment with every purchase where one of our team will visit your garden and advise on how you can make simple changes to encourage more wildlife in.
