The Big Butterfly Count is in full swing running until 10thAugust! If you haven’t joined in yet, there is still time to get involved and one way you can help to protect these vital pollinators – especially important after 2024’s marked the poorest year on record for butterfly sightings.
So far in 2025, TVERC (Thames Valley Environmental Records Centre) has logged 12,374 butterfly records across the TVERC area! Meadow Brown is taking the lead, followed by Gatekeeper and Speckled Wood.
Can we get some Thame butterflies into the recordings ?
